Treating Peri-Menopause
Supporting women through one of the most powerful transitions of their lives, with clarity, steadiness, and respect.
A live, in-depth workshop for acupuncturists, naturopaths and nutritionists who want to meet peri-menopause not as a problem to fix, but as a season of change to be understood, held, and guided.
This is for practitioners who want to be a grounded, informed presence as that change unfolds.
This Work Matters (More Than Ever)
According to the UN, in 2025 there will be more than 1 billion women experiencing menopause across the world, 12% of the total population.
Women are no longer disappearing quietly as they shift from maiden/mother to crone. There is a whole season of life unfolding here, one that holds creativity, power, grief, renewal, fatigue, clarity, questioning, and deep reorientation.
And yet, most women arrive at peri-menopause with very little language for what is happening inside them. They feel unrecognised, untethered, and sometimes quietly panicked.
While many practitioners sense that something deeper is occurring, they’re working inside health models that often reduce this transition to isolated symptoms or hormonal checklists.
This is not a failure of care. It is a lack of education and context.
Peri-menopause is not simply the lead-up to menopause. It is a dynamic developmental window that touches the nervous system, the psyche, metabolism, relationships, and a woman’s sense of self.
If you work with women in midlife, this transition is already present in your clinic. The invitation is to meet it with steadiness rather than urgency, and with understanding rather than fear or puzzlement.
Who This Workshop Is For

- Acupuncturists, naturopaths and nutritionists working with women in midlife
- Practitioners who want to move beyond symptom-chasing into confident, whole-person care
- Clinicians who value both traditional wisdom and contemporary medical understanding
- Practitioners who want practical tools they can use immediately in clinic
This workshop is not a surface-level overview, a trend-based talk, or a single-modality approach. It is for practitioners who want depth, context, and clinical clarity.

“Keri Krieger is passionate about informing and educating the world and other health practitioners about all things related to the inevitable stage of life, or as Keri calls it ‘season of life’, women go through also known as perimenopause. In this webinar Keri gives a good overview of how complex perimenopause can be and how ti can affect women in a multitude of way, many of which suprise women themselves. Keri shows her knowledge on this topic in a lovely professional, humoristic, holitstic and creative way, with a refreshing dose of personal experiences thrown in. “What magic you share Keri, Over 100 minutes of potent peri-content that could easily be broken into mini seminars themselves. I love the way you story-tell through the lens of the Chinese culture, acupuncture practitioner training adn extensive experience to contextualise how symptoms present in women and taking a whole person approach rather than seeing siloed bodily function, I love your work!! What We’ll Cover Together
Over two hours, we will explore:
Peri-menopause through the lens of Chinese Medicine, how this season has been understood for generations, and why this perspective helps practitioners normalise change rather than pathologise it.
The physiological, mental and emotional changes of midlife, how they present clinically, and why naming these shifts clearly can reduce fear and self-doubt for your clients.
A triage-based approach to treatment, so complex presentations feel more workable, and you can prioritise care without becoming overwhelmed.
The Western medical model of midlife health, including an overview of HRT and SSRIs, and why understanding these options helps you support clients navigating mixed or conflicting advice.
Chinese herbal medicine, naturopathic supplementation, and short-term supports, including when and why ‘band-aids’ can be appropriate while deeper treatment plans take effect.
Integrated approaches to GSM, brain fog, hot flushes, weight gain, and disordered menstruation, not just as symptom clusters, but as lived experiences that often affect confidence, intimacy, and self-trust.
Tools to support emotional wellbeing and nervous system regulation, because many women are carrying long histories of stress, caregiving, and responsibility into this transition.
The real cost of chronic stress in midlife, and why neuroscience describes this period as a dynamic developmental window rather than a decline.
You are encouraged to bring your own case studies for discussion. There is no such thing as a strange question.
Why This Workshop Is Different
This workshop is shaped by clinical practice, lived experience, and a deep respect for women’s inner worlds.
Like many women, I did not arrive at peri-menopause feeling informed or well held by the health system.

Over an extended period, I looked for support, care, and integrated understanding from healthcare providers. I visited 5 different GPs over 12 months before I found one willing to listen and do the testing that put my mind at ease.
I invested significant time, energy, and money trialling different approaches, exploring both Western and complementary pathways, and piecing together information from webinars, specialists, and lived experimentation, alongside my incredible Acupuncturist, all while continuing to work and function in my day-to-day life.
What became clear was not a lack of intelligence or effort, but a lack of integrated services and holistic education (even among healthcare professionals!)
This experience fundamentally shaped how I now work with women in midlife.
Peri-menopause is a meaningful transition in womanhood that requires context, steadiness, and guidance. Not dismissal. And not fearmongering that has the femtech industry salivating over having 12% of an undereducated population they can sell snake oil to.
This work is not about having all the answers. It is about holding a strong enough container for the questions, and helping women trust themselves as they move through change, supported by the tools and treatment plans you’ll be able to provide.
Most women will not have the time, resources, or stamina to navigate this season alone. This is why the role of a steady, well-informed practitioner matters so deeply here.
Tap into a Burgeoning Market , Ethically and Sustainably
Midlife women are increasingly being spoken about, marketed to, and offered solutions , not all of them thoughtful, integrated, or kind.
Education is not about positioning yourself as an expert who knows better. It is about being responsible with the influence you hold as a practitioner. This workshop will equip you to access this burgeoning market in women’s health while staying aligned to your values in offering a high quality of care.
When peri-menopause is understood in context , physically, emotionally, and culturally , practitioners are less likely to rush, oversimplify, or inadvertently undermine a woman’s trust in herself.
Sustainable practices are built on care, discernment, and integrity. This work supports all three.
